in 28 days, i'm going to be heading off on a very exhilarating journey to Guatemala, in Central America. in preparation to this trek i've decided to create a blog. i've wanted to create a blog for the past few months because for one, i thoroughly enjoy reading blogs, also i think that blogging is a neat way to express feelings, show others things i have learned, and to tell others what has been happening in my life. I also wanted to update friends and family about my preparations for this trip and also to update others while in guatemala.
In preparation for Guatemala, I've been doing many different fundraisers. Because this trip will be a mission trip where i will be spreading the word of God to others, and helping out the lost and least, i have been thankfully able to fundraise through my home church. A week ago, i hosted a salmon/chicken dinner for approximately 100 people, and also have had a bottle drive. To my amazement, God provided as much of my budget was raised. From the dinner and bottle drive, all my doubts for raising my budget have disappeared and i now know that it is God's will that i go to guatemala.
